The 【あ行】
- ある-Verb of existence used for inanimate objects

The 【か行】
- 「か」 Question Marker-Sentence ending marker used to ask questions and to talk about undecided matters
- 「が」 Conjunctive -A conjunctive used to express a contradiction between two simple sentences
- 「が」 Particle-Subject particle, identifies who or what is doing the action
- 「から」 Conjunctive-A conjunctive used to express a reason for something.
- カタカナ-A variant of the phonetic alphabet for foreign words
- 漢字(かんじ)-Chinese characters adapted for Japanese
- 「けど」 Conjunctive -Similar to 「が」, this is a more casual conjunctive used to express a contradiction between two simple sentences
The 【さ行】
The 【た行】
- 「~たりする」 -A conjunctive for verbs and state of being used to list multiple reasons for something
- Te-form-A type of verb conjugation used in many different types of grammar. It, in and of itself, is used to express
a sequence of more than one action.
- 「で」 Particle-Context particle used to express the means of which an action was performed
- 「と」 Particle-Particle used to denote "and" used for nouns
- 「とか」 Particle-Casual version of the 「や」 particle used to list a sample of items from a larger list
The 【な行】
- 「に」 Particle-Target particle used to denote a target of a directional action
- 「ね」-A sentence ending used to confirm an expectation of agreement
- 「の」 Particle-Particle used to indicate possession, as a generic noun substitution, or to provide further explanation
- 「ので」 Conjunctive-Similar to 「から」, this is a politer conjunctive used to express a reason for something.
- 「のに」 Conjunctive-A conjunctive used to connect two sentences with the meaning, "in spite of", or "despite".
The 【は行】
- 「は」 Particle-Topic particle, denotes a general topic (pronounced as / wa /)
- ひらがな-The basic phonetic alphabet
- 「へ」 Particle-Directional particle used to denote the destination of a motion verb (pronounced as / e / )
The 【ま行】
- 「も」 Particle-Inclusive topic particle, denotes an additional general topic
The 【や行】
- 「や」 Particle-Particle with the meaning "and"; it is used for nouns implying a sample of items from a larger list
- 「よ」-A sentence ending used to inform the listener of new and previously unknown information
The 【ら行】
The 【わ行】
- 「を」 Particle-Direct object particle used to denote a direct object
